Eva Olisson

Eva Olisson

On Monday at the beginning of the day there was a special speaker named Eva Olisson who came to speak to us. Eva Olisson was a survivor of the Holocaust. Her presentation was moving, inspiring and touching. It helped you completley understand what actually happened during the war. The presentation really sent a message to everyone in the audience and was very sad and very powerful.

It was an amazing story to hear in person. I think I was very lucky to have gotten to see a survivor of the Holocaust while there is still some that are alive to tell their story.

One of the most frightining parts of the whole presentation was when Eva was talking about her mother, and how they separated the families by sending one person to the left and some to the right. Everyone knew that one side was sent to the gas chamber. I couldn't imagine being in that situation and knowing you would never see your mother again.

The presentation was very educational and inspiring. I learned a lot about the Holocaust. What was most inspiring was that Eva Olisson kept going, she didn't give up and let the Nazi's win. Eva Olisson fought back and survived. I think a lesson learned was that no matter how hard things get in life you can always push through and tough it out and survive. Just like Eva Olisson.

Eva Olisson is a great person. Even though the Germans and some other people tore apart her family, killed most of them, destroyed millions of lives and made her live through those hard conditions and pain, she forgave them. Eva forgave them their sins. I think that is the one lesson that I will remember for years, and years to come.

Eva Olisson is a great women, a fighter, a forgiver, an amazing person and a tough person. I was lucky to have seen her in person and to hear her story. A true life Holocaust survivor.
